DEPLOYMENT AND INSTALLATION

Physical Implementation

1. Mechanical Assembly: Ensure the NAS unit is unplugged. Open the front magnetic panel to access the 4 drive caddies. Mount your 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA hard drives into the caddies and push them firmly into the backplane until locked. For high-speed caching, open the M.2 slots on the bottom or interior board and secure your NVMe SSDs.

2. Network Integration: Plug CAT6 network cables into one or both of the 2.5GbE LAN ports at the back of the NAS, and link them to your local switch or high-performance Wi-Fi router. Dual ports can be utilized for network failover or aggregation.

3. Power Hookup: Plug the dedicated 12V 10A DC power adapter into the back of the R1 and connect it to a reliable power source. Toggle the power button to boot. The 2.86-inch touchscreen and the integrated RGB light will illuminate, indicating system initialization.
