Verify the ceiling thickness is between 5 mm and 25 mm.
Ensure a dedicated Cat5e/Cat6 network cable connected to a PoE (802.3af) switch is dropped at the speaker site.
Use the included pattern paper to mark the ceiling cutout.
Cutout: Cut a precise hole of Ø200 mm (7.87 inches) into the ceiling tile.
Wiring: Pull the RJ45 Ethernet cable through the cutout and plug it directly into the speaker’s network port. If external triggers (like emergency switches or localized strobe lights) are used, wire them into the removable 6-pin terminal block.
Mounting: Pull back the 3 integrated spring clamps on the speaker body. Push the speaker upward into the mounting hole until the spring clamps snap firmly onto the upper side of the ceiling panel.
Security: Fix a safety wire through the designated chassis attachment hole to an independent structural ceiling anchor for safety standard compliance.
The IP-A1PC238 does not require a central audio server; it is entirely managed via an intuitive, embedded web browser interface.
Connect a Windows PC to the same subnet as the speaker.
Discover the device’s IP address using the TOA IP Setting Tool software.
Open a web browser (HTTPS) and log into the device using the default credentials provided in the operational manual.
SIP Mode Configuration: Under network settings, input your local SIP server IP, Extension Number, and Authentication Password to register the speaker as an active VoIP endpoint.
Audio Uploading: Upload up to 20 pre-recorded announcements, alerts, or chimes (WAV/MP3) directly onto the 80 memory block.
Priority Ranking: Utilize the Priority Setting menu to map hierarchy. For instance, Emergency API commands or Live SIP paging can be assigned a higher priority tier to automatically override background music or scheduled interval chimes.
Volume Normalization: Adjust individual offset volume levels for each distinctive mode (Multicast, SIP, or Internal playback) to perfectly match room acoustics.
