UniFi PoE injectors are designed for simple, tool-less integration into your network cabinet or wall mount.
Installation Steps
Power Input: Plug the AC power cord into the injector and a 220V wall outlet. Ensure the outlet is grounded to enable the injector’s surge protection features.
LAN Connection: Connect a standard Ethernet cable from your non-PoE switch or router to the “LAN” port.
PoE Out: Connect a shielded Ethernet cable (Cat6 recommended) from the “PoE” port to the UniFi device.
Verification: A steady white or blue LED on the injector indicates active power. If the LED is off or flashing, check the cable terminations.
Intelligent Power Management
Plug-and-Play: These injectors are unmanaged hardware. Once connected, they automatically negotiate the power handshake (for af/at/bt models).
Reset Support: Specific variants stocked by SKYRS include a remote reset feature, allowing you to factory reset a UniFi AP from the power source location.
Network Transparency: The injector is fully transparent to the UniFi Network Application. Once powered, the device will appear in the “Devices” tab for adoption and configuration.
