  • Output Voltage: 48V — 56V DC

  • Data Rates: 10/100/1000 Mbps (Gigabit) / Multi-Gigabit (2.5G/5G)

  • Standards Support: IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at (PoE+), and 802.3bt (UPOE)

  • Efficiency: Level VI energy efficiency

  • Reliability: Built-in ESD and Surge protection (up to 4kV)

Variant Compatibility Matrix

Cisco Series Model Examples Recommended PoE Variant
Cisco IP Phone 7800/8800 7841, 8845, 8861 15.4W – 30W Gigabit
Aironet & Catalyst APs 1850, 9115, 9120 30W PoE+ (802.3at)
Cisco Video/DX Series DX80, Webex Room 60W – 90W (802.3bt)
Legacy Cisco Phones 7940, 7960 Cisco Pre-standard 48V

Deployment and Installation Guide

Cisco devices often require precise handshaking to activate power. Follow these steps for a successful deployment:

Installation Steps

  1. Hardware Connection: Plug the injector into a grounded AC power outlet.

  2. Data Link: Connect a patch cord from your Cisco Catalyst switch (non-PoE port) to the “Data In” port of the injector.

  3. Power Delivery: Connect a high-quality Cat6 cable from the “Data & Power Out” port to the Cisco device.

  4. Signal Check: Observe the Cisco device boot sequence. If the device is a Cisco AP, the LED will cycle through colors; for IP phones, the screen will illuminate within 5 seconds.

Configuration Details

Zero-Touch Intelligent Provisioning

  • Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP): The injector allows CDP packets to pass through transparently, ensuring the Cisco switch can still identify the remote device.

  • Auto-Negotiation: The injector automatically negotiates power levels. There is no need to configure the Cisco IOS Command Line Interface (CLI) for power allocation.

  • Power Inline Consumed: On the switch side, you can verify connectivity using the command show power inline, which will display the device as “on” despite using an external injector.

Availability at SKYRS Pakistan

SKYRS is the exclusive source in Pakistan for “Smart-Sensing” Cisco PoE adapters that bridge the gap between standard PoE and Cisco’s proprietary power requirements.

  • Inventory Status: We maintain the largest local stock of High-Wattage (60W+) injectors for Cisco Webex and Catalyst Wi-Fi 6E systems.

  • National Reach: Same-day dispatch available for Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

  • Exclusive Support: Technical consultation for Cisco power budgeting is provided only to SKYRS clients, ensuring you don’t under-power your critical infrastructure.

Important Note: Certain Cisco Access Points (like the 9100 series) may operate in “Reduced Power Mode” if provided with only 15.4W. For full 4×4 MIMO functionality, ensure you procure the 30W or 60W variants available only at SKYRS.
